The Skills Immigration stream is designed for individuals with the skills, experience, and qualifications needed by B.C. employers. It comprises three categories:

1. Skilled Worker

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Have accepted a full-time, indeterminate job offer from a B.C. employer in a National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupation.
2. Possess at least two years of full-time (or full-time equivalent) work experience in the same occupation.
3. Meet minimum language requirements.
4. Receive a wage offer in line with B.C. wage rates for the occupation.
5. Demonstrate the ability to support yourself and your dependents.

This stream also has an Express Entry BC option for faster processing.

2. Health Authority

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Obtain support from a B.C. public health authority employer.
2. Have an indeterminate, full-time job offer in a qualifying health occupation.
3. Meet minimum language requirements.
4. Demonstrate the ability to support yourself and your dependents.

Applicants can apply directly to the BC PNP without registration.

3. Entry Level and Semi-Skilled (ELSS)

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Have accepted a full-time, indeterminate job offer from a B.C. employer in a NOC TEER 4 or 5 occupation in specific industries.
2. Completed at least nine consecutive months of full-time employment with the employer in B.C.
3. Meet minimum language requirements.
4. Demonstrate the ability to support yourself and your dependents.

This stream is for workers in specific industries such as tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking, or food processing.

Entrepreneur Immigration: For Business Innovators

The Entrepreneur Immigration stream is for experienced entrepreneurs who intend to create and actively manage a business in B.C. It includes the following categories:

1. Base Stream

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Personal Requirements:

   • Minimum personal net worth of CAD $600,000.

   • Business and/or management experience; or a post-secondary credential.

   • Basic English or French language proficiency (CLB level 4 or higher).

   • Lawfully admitted in the country of current residence.

   • Eligible for legal immigration status in Canada.

2. Business, Job, and Investment Requirements:

   • Establish a new business or purchase and improve an existing business in B.C.

   • Make a minimum personal investment of CAD $200,000.

   • Create at least one new full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Process:

1. Prepare a comprehensive business proposal.

2. Register your proposal with the BC PNP.

3. Obtain a work permit.

4. Establish and actively manage your business in B.C.

5. Receive a provincial nomination.

6. Apply for permanent residence.

Fees:

• CAD $300 registration fee.

• CAD $3,500 application fee.

2. Regional Stream

This stream is designed for entrepreneurs who intend to establish a new business in smaller communities across B.C., supporting regional economic development.
