BC PNP Skills Immigration

The BC PNP Skills Immigration stream allows skilled workers, international graduates, and healthcare professionals to gain permanent residence in British Columbia. Candidates are ranked using the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), which awards points for education, work experience, job offer, language proficiency, age, and B.C. connections.

At Scope Immigration Services, we guide clients through the EOI registration, point maximization, and application process, ensuring a strong application that increases the chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for BC PNP Skills Immigration, you must meet the following:

  1. Valid Job Offer: Permanent, full-time job in B.C. in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3.
  2. Language Proficiency: Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 (higher for regulated occupations).
  3. Work Experience: At least 1 year within the last 10 years in your intended occupation.
  4. Education: Post-secondary credentials relevant to your occupation.
  5. Licensing (if applicable): Required for regulated occupations in B.C.
  6. Legal Status: Must live outside Canada or have proof of legal status in Canada.
  7. Refugee Claimants: Cannot apply.

Candidates with B.C. connections or jobs in high-demand occupations can earn additional points under SIRS.

Subcategories of Skills Immigration

  1. Skilled Worker: Candidates with a valid job offer in B.C.
  2. Healthcare Professional: Includes nurses, physicians, and allied health workers.
  3. International Graduate: Graduates from recognized B.C. institutions.
  4. Entry-Level & Semi-Skilled Worker: Jobs in hospitality, tourism, and food processing sectors.

Each subcategory may have additional requirements, such as regulatory licensing or higher language scores for certain occupations.

Expression of Interest (EOI) System

BC PNP uses a points-based EOI system to rank candidates.

  1. Register Online: Create a BC PNP profile and submit your EOI.
  2. Points-Based Ranking: Candidates are scored based on SIRS criteria.
  3. Invitation to Apply (ITA): Highest-ranking candidates are issued ITAs.
  4. Full Application Submission: Submit supporting documents, including education, work experience, language results, and job offer letters.
  5. Nomination: Successful candidates receive a BC nomination for permanent residency with IRCC.

Scope Immigration Services ensures that your EOI profile is optimized for maximum points and all documents meet BC PNP standards.
