Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots
Exciting news for caregivers! On March 31, 2025, Canada will launch new Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots, allowing caregivers to obtain permanent residency upon arrival.
With the closure of the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot in June 2024, these new pilots aim to simplify the process for caregivers to secure reliable jobs and obtain PR status immediately.
Key Highlights:
- Caregivers can work with organizations providing temporary or part-time care for individuals who are semi-independent or recovering from illness or injury.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum language proficiency of CLB level 4
- Equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma
- Recent home care experience
- Full-time job offer in home care
As part of the 2024–2026 Immigration Levels Plan, Canada will welcome over 15,000 caregivers as permanent residents.
