Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada announced guidelines for the Parents and Grandparents Program on July 20, 2021. IRCC will accept a record number of applications for the 2021 Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP).
As per their instructions, the 2021 PGP will be a little different from the 2020 PGP. IRCC will consider “Interest to Sponsor Forms” that were submitted in 2020. A total of 40,000 applications will be accepted in 2021 – 10,000 applications will be from the 2020 intake as the accepted only 10,000 in 2020, and 30,000 will be from the 2021 intake.
Potential sponsors may receive invitations within 2 weeks, starting the week of September 20, 2021.
