Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced two new pathways for Hong Kong Residents to become permanent residents of Canada. The Program requirements are as follows:
STREAM A: IN-CANADA GRADUATES
- Must be physically present on valid temporary resident status in Canada
- Have attained CLB 5 score in English or French
- Have graduated from a post-secondary institution in Canada in the last 3 years from one of the following-
- Two years diploma
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate Degree
- Graduate or post-graduate diploma or certificate for at least 1 year
STREAM B: CANADIAN WORK EXPERIENCE
- Must have at least 12 months of full-time work experience in Canada in the past 3 years.
- Must be physically present on valid temporary resident status in Canada
- Have attained CLB 5 score in English or French
- Have graduated in the last 5 years from one of the following-
- Two years diploma
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate Degree
- Graduate or post-graduate diploma or certificate for at least 1 year
