immigration fee exemption for flood affected people

Immigration Fee Exemption Policy for directly affected people from floods and landslides in British Columbia

Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has taken significant action to support Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and temporary residents who are directly affected by the floods in British Columbia. People who have lost their immigration documents such as Passports, Travel Documents, Certificates of Identity, Citizenship Proof, Permanent residents Cards and temporary resident status documents are eligible for fees exemptions. They do not have to pay any fees to replace their immigration documents.

Moreover, temporary residents are also eligible for the fee exemption if they want to extend or restore their temporary resident status. Also, IRCC has waived the biometrics fees for temporary residents who are directly affected by floods in British Columbia. This policy is valid until May 31, 2022.
