The Canadian government has undertaken another significant action to slow the spread of COVID-19 by making ArriveCAN Mobile APP a mandatory requirement for all travelers entering Canada.
Every individual, seeking entry in Canada, must download the app and provide their details to reduce waiting time at airports; moreover; it will lower the chances of being in contact with COVID-19 patients during checkout as well as spreading it to Canadian officials. Travelers can submit their information 90 days before their flight or 14 days before their flight if they want to submit at ArriveCan online portal. They must provide their travel information, contact information, quarantine plan, and COVID-19 symptom self-assessment. A receipt will be generated once travelers fill in all the required information, and it must be presented to immigration officers at the airport.
All travelers, including Canadian citizens & permanent residents, must submit their information using ArriveCAN APP before entry. Any individual, not complying with this requirement, may face enforcement action that may vary from a verbal warning to a $1,000 fine.
